Green Corps Program
Our Green Corps Program – a partnership with the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation – is a nine-month program aimed at engaging young adults, ages 18 to 24, who have not completed high school and are currently unemployed.
Corps members spend 12 hours a week in Goodwill classes learning computer skills, preparing for their GED, and developing job search and college navigation skills. They spend another 24 hours a week on Seattle Parks lands receiving on-the-job training and work experience in environmental restoration and trail maintenance.
Educational field trips expose Corps members to various work environments, career opportunities and college campuses. We offer a monthly stipend, transportation help and support services for the duration of the program.
