What is the Goodwill Glitter Sale?

Seattle Goodwill is holding its Annual Glitter Sale on Nov. 14 and 15, 2009. This famous two-day sale features racks, rows and cases of glitzy and glamorous Goodwill bargains, all in one place. Quality merchandise is collected year-round for the big sale, including gowns, men's formalwear, jewelry, shoes, purses and much more.

 

The Goodwill Glitter Sale began in 1983 at the Seattle Goodwill store, located on Dearborn Street near the corner of Rainer Ave. Now in its 26th year, it has become our most popular and well-attended sale, raising vital revenue for Goodwill’s mission.

 

All proceeds from the Glitter Sale support Goodwill’s free job training and education programs, which help low income people with barriers to employment get the skills and support they need to achieve economic self-sufficiency through work.  Because jobs change lives.

Glitter Sale Tips and Suggestions

• Wear a slip, body suit or swimsuit to easily try on clothing; dressing rooms will not be available.
• When you arrive in the special sales area, grab a tote to carry your purchases; shopping carts and personal bags are not allowed.
• To ensure the best customer service, you will be given a number for assistance at the jewelry counter. Please arrive early for the best selection.
• Help us by rehanging clothes you will not purchase.
• This is a crowded event, so be conscious of the comfort and safety of others; please do not run in the store.

• Take I-5 to the Dearborn St. exit (first exit in the I-90 interchange) and turn left at the bottom of the exit
• Head east on Dearborn St.
• Seattle Goodwill is approximately 4 blocks up on the left hand side

From I-5 Northbound

• Take I-5 to the Dearborn St. exit (first exit in the I-90 interchange) and turn right at the bottom of the exit.
• Head east on Dearborn.
• Seattle Goodwill is approximately 2 blocks up on the left hand side.
