We're beating the heat in vintage swimsuits
Here at Goodwill we’ve been celebrating the heat this summer with a couple of vintage swimsuit fashion shows! We were honored to be a part of the Wooden Boat Festival at the Center for Wooden Boats and the Alki Arts Fair. Our Vintage Collection has been maintained since the 1970s, and it consists of gorgeous vintage apparel, hats, shoes and accessories. Our pieces date as far back as the 1860s and go all the way through the 1980s.
Throughout the year we put on numerous fashion shows by request, from hat shows to wedding fashion shows. “We have been enjoying our visits to different groups in the community,” says Carla Moar, Goodwill Events Assistant, “and we love sharing our mission in the process.”
Check out these amazing vintage swimsuits – hopefully they inspire you to get in the water before the summer ends!
