About Us
Donations = Jobs
Jobs = Better Lives
Founded in 1923, Seattle Goodwill is a nonprofit that has been an integral part of our community for 90 years. Driven by our mission to provide free job training and education to those in need, we continue to help change people’s lives for the better.
There are thousands of people in our community who face difficult barriers to finding work, including poverty, lack of education and skills, and language barriers. Our free job training and education programs are designed to address these barriers directly and give students the ability to overcome them.
With 22 retail thrift stores and 10 Job Training and Education Centers throughout the region, we provide classes and support services to thousands every year.
Our programs are funded entirely by financial donations and sales of donated items in our stores. And it’s thanks to generous individuals, foundations and corporations that we are able to provide these programs at zero cost to those who need them most.
